Here we are stalking and catching a nice red of about 24 inches from an ankle deep flat.  Notice how the fish is just barely breaking the surface even though the water is so shallow.  They have an uncanny ability to simply melt away in even the very shallowest of water.  If you don’t know what you are looking for you just won’t see it sometimes.
