One of my favorite flies

The Seaducer is a great shrimp imitation that really comes into it’s own around here at this time of year as the shrimp reach maturity and start moving out towards the inlets.

I tie them with a weed guard.  This one has a peacock herl tail  The classic calls for opposing saddle hackles.  Many people tie the tails too long and they will foul.  Make sure the tail is only as long as 1 1/2 times the length of the hook shank and start your tie in point behind the hook point to keep it fishing clean.
